Route description
By bike our way takes us towards the village of Stara Fužina. Before the village we go over the bridge over the Mostnica stream. We cycle along the Sava River under the Rudnica Hill. On our way we meet plants that like marshy, wet soil, plants that squeeze underneath the branches of hazel trees, as well as blooming meadow plants, which is found on our way over the wide field of Brod. The streams that we cross are home to water or wet-loving plants. When the field is behind us, we only have a few minutes to the end of our trip, which is at the bridge over the Sava River between the villages of Bitnje and Bohinjska Bistrica. A van will wait for us there for the return. The great adventure will be over when the botanical guide explains all the secrets of the flora of this part of Bohinj.
