Route description
The mini bus takes us from Bohinjska Bistrica village to Ravne village, where we start our walk under the ski slopes.
We walk along the meadows and make several stops in order to admire the plants and flowers on the forest's borders. Willow Leaved Gentian (Gentiana asclepiadea) marvels in its blue colour, Woodland Oxeyes (Buphthalmum salicifolium) grow over the meadow fields. After an hour we reach the first hill top, where we can enjoy the view of the Triglav mountain range. Several meadow plants grow on this part of the area, namely Knapweed (Centaurea pannonica) and Fritschs Knapweed (Centaurea scabiosa subsp. fritschii). There are many Globe Flowers (Trollius europaues) growing on the meadow's margins. We make a stop for lunch on a beautiful part of the meadow. Then we continue our walk back on the other side of the meadow and see other interesting plants. We walk through a forest in order to see the undergrowth, mighty pine trees and fir trees.
