International Seminar: Interpreting our Cultural and Natural Heritage

An annual opportunity to exchange news and updates on interpretation projects from around Slovenia and other parts of Europe.
This years seminar will concentrate on the theme "there is a lot more to interpretation than just information panels".

Practical Workshop: Interpreting our Cultural and Natural Heritage

Saturday, May 30 2009, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

This workshop will take the form of a practical field trip based around the idea of developing a Bohinj cultural and heritage trail. Participants, in the company of interpretation specialists, will visit another of the locations along this possible trail and consider this locations from a number of different natural and cultural heritage perspectives to think about what you would interpret, why and how!

The Bohinj International Wildflower Festival Scientific Conference 2009

Tuesday, June 2 2009, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, Joža Ažman Hall, Bohinjska Bistrica

Nature, Agriculture and Tourism in Alpine Areas.

This prestigious scientific conference, developed in partnership with the Triglav National Park, and celebrating Slovenia's Presidency of the Alpine Convention, will include speakers from a number of key Slovene Government Ministries, The Triglav National Park, Universities and other professional organisations and individuals working in this field around Europe. The Alpine Convention is an agreement between a number of countries and works for the protection and sustainable development of the whole Alpine region. The main objective of the Bohinj International Wild Flower Festival "To build a sustainable future for people and nature" fits closely with that of the Alpine Convention.
