KAYAK
| Kayaking is one of the best ways of experiencing a river. In the Bohinj region there are no extremely difficult rapids, but there is the lake and the upper part of the Sava Bohinjka, both of which are suitable for the first strokes of a new adventure. More demanding descents are easily accessible by car (the lower part of the Sava Bohinjka, the Radovna, the Soča). | | | | Course, organise descents, or just hiring first-rate equipment. The choice is yours! | | | | PROGRAMMES: | | 1. KAYAK SCHOOL: The kayak school for kayaking on rapid waters comprises a wide range of choices from individual lessons to week-long courses, both for beginners and those with more experience. The school begins on the calm surface of the lake, and continues on the Savica and the Sava Bohinjka. The week-long course comprises 15 lessons. Equipment and ride is provided by organiser. | | 2. CANOEING
| Just a couple of paddle strokes are all it takes to glide gently off into a wonderful world of beauty, peace and silence. Leave the lake and head off downriver for a touch of excitement and adventure. You can explore the lake on your own, rivers are much more demanding. Join an organised excursion to enjoy canoeing with the benefit of assured safety, expert guidance and relaxed company. | | | | PROGRAMMES: | | 1. LAKE EXCURSIONS: Two-hour excursion when you learn to manoeuvre a canoe and appreciate the lake from its very best aspect. The canoe tour begins with a short paddling lesson at the Pod Voglom hotel, followed by a tour around the lake and then a race. Everyone taking part receives a souvenirs medal. | | | | 2. IZLET PO SAVI BOHINJKI: This trip begins at the Pod Vogel hotel. From the hotel we will paddle across the lake to the Church of St. John, where we enter the Sava Bohinjka below the bridge. We follow the river as far as Bohinjska Bistrica and can continue on to Lepence or Soteska.
