OBSERVING THE NIGHT SKY AT VOGEL

Theme of this lecture is Space garbage.

Triglav National Park and Vogel Ski Center are organizing the Observing the Night Sky
Workshop. The lectures are held by PhD Prof Tomaž Zwitter and the observations by Tilen
Kuhar.

Space garbage?!?
Around the Earth there are more than ten thousand satellites or parts of them. Most are not working and we have no influence on their movements. These space rubbers are increasingly endangering the operation of satellites for Earth observation, communication, navigation and space observation. In the lecture we will explain the situation, and what should we do.
