The valley of the Triglav Lakes is considered one of the most beautiful areas in the Julian Alps. A varied, geologically diverse, glacial valley rich in biodiversity and picturesque lakes lies between the alpine valleys of Bohinj and Trento. Awareness of the uniqueness and pricelessness of nature is closely connected with the beginnings of nature protection and the Valley of the Triglav Lakes, which in 1924 was protected as an Alpine protection park.
