Our largest permanent and natural lake of glacial origin is home to native lake trout, barbel, chub, brown trout, rainbow trout, perch and the non-native lake goldfish, a speciality among the lake’s fish, especially known to gourmets. On Lake Bohinj it is allowed to fish from the shore and from a boat with one fishing tackle.
