The Mostnica is a small river with crystal clear water, full of pools and waterfalls. It contains only natural wild fish: brown trout, grayling and rainbow trout. Fly fishing on the Mostnica is only permitted to five fishermen per day and only with a Catch & Release permit.
Before the outflow of Lake Bohinj, the Jezernica and Mostnica rivers come together into the crystal clear alpine river – the Sava Bohinjka. This river has many fishing areas and joins the Sava Dolinka River near Lancovo. It mostly hosts Salmonidae species such as brown trout, grayling, rainbow trout, chub and Danube salmon. The Sava Bohinjka River has many magnificent natural features like fast and deep pools, rapids and calm sections where any demanding fisherman can find the perfect spot to fish.
