Juliana BIKE
A cyclist’s perception of nature and the surroundings is quite different from that of a hiker, but the circular touring bike trail in the Julian Alps – Juliana Bike – shares similar views and insights into life in the Julian Alps as hikers on the Juliana Trail.

Bohinj stages:
Stage 1:
The stage is located entirely in Bohinj. From the Lower Bohinj Valley it crosses into the Upper Bohinj Valley, and from there on across the Bohinj pastures in Pokljuka to Goreljek. With its views and vistas, it reveals the magnitude of Bohinj in all its timeless beauty of mighty mountains and vast glacial valleys.
You’ll ride through the idyllic Uskovnica and Zajamniki mountain pastures, between isolated mountain farms, shepherds’ huts, and clustered villages and sparkling forests. The Bohinj stegae can also quite rightly lure you to the south side of the lake, to three outstanding museums or to discover superb culinary stories. Stage 7:
From Podbrdo and Baška Grapa, you will climb towards the picturesque Petrovo Brdo, where the watershed between the Soča and the Sava runs, as the world divides between the Baška Grapa and the Selška Valley. The village was founded during the medieval colonisation of Tyrolean peasants and lived as a border village until the Italian capitulation. The reconstruction and widening of the road has made it interesting for passers-by once again.
Continue towards Spodnja and Zgornja Sorica and then past the Soriška planina ski resort. Shortly below Soriška planina, follow the forest roads through the Strme mountain towards the interesting village of Nemški Rovt. From there on, to the village Bohinjska Bistrica.
