Planica will host the biggest sporting event in Slovenia’s history, the 43rd FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, from 21 February to 5 March 2023.
In the most beautiful venue in the history of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, competitors from all over the world will compete for ski jumping, cross-country skiing and Nordic combined medals in front of more than 500 million TV viewers worldwide – and of course you!
In ski jumping, 7 sets of medals will be awarded, 3 in the men’s and 3 in the women’s competition, and medals will also be awarded in the mixed team event. In cross-country skiing, we will see 12 final decisions, 6 in the men’s and 6 in the women’s competition.
Nordic Combined will be new, with a mixed team event for the first time, and a total of four sets of medals will be awarded in this discipline, 3 in the men’s and 1 in the women’s competition.

All visitors to the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Planica 2023 between February 22 and February 26 and between February 28 and March 5 have the opportunity to use a free combined return transport by train and bus from any railway station in Slovenia to Planica and back.
