Grandpa’s Frost Frostmobile and the Guardians of the Treasure

15. December, 15:00 - 18:30

Grandpa Frost’s Frostmobile

A traveling theatrical and musical caravan of joy

Through your town, past windows, balconies, and doors, three times around the little church, and then onward to the next village – Grandpa Frost will dash by in his Frostmobile!

With his self-driving Frostmobile, a fierce forest entourage, a genuine stuffed policeman, the only partially musically talented bear from Kočevje, and the devilishly good Big-Brr-Band, His Frosty Majesty will visit you and fulfill many of your wishes.

We guarantee 100% wish-fulfillment! ATTENTION! This is not a joke! Grandpa Frost is REAL (if you don’t believe it, feel free to tug on his beard)!

Grandpa Frost’s packed schedule:

The Frostmobile will be driving (more or less, mostly more) through the villages of Bohinj. Sometimes it’ll stick to the center, other times it may veer to the left – in short, it may come your way, or maybe not. It might even stop unexpectedly at a remote farmhouse or serenade the locals with a song.

Frostmobile schedule:

  • 15:00 Kamnje: in front of the fire station
  • 15:30 Ribčev Laz: market square
  • 16:00 Stara Fužina: ice rink
  • 16:30 Srednja Vas: under the linden tree
  • 17:00 Bohinjska Češnjica: in front of the fire station
  • 17:30 Bohinjska Bistrica: in front of the Joža Ažman Cultural Center

The program continues in Bohinjska Bistrica:

  • 18:00: Opening of the winter spatial installation Guardians of the Treasure in Ceconi Park, supported by the Frostmobile team.
  • From 18:30 onwards: DJ Rekordman will entertain in front of the Joža Ažman Cultural Center.

Bring your gloves, we’ll bring the snow.

Yours truly,
Kuzma the Elf

WINTER SPATIAL INSTALLATION: GUARDIANS OF THE TREASURE

Guardians of the Treasure is a winter art project inviting visitors to explore Ceconi Park in Bohinjska Bistrica. The project intertwines natural and cultural heritage, raising awareness about the importance of the environment while highlighting the treasures each visitor carries within themselves – both as a guardian and a treasure.

The path through the park is full of surprises: illuminated hanging elements, intricate networks inspired by Slovenian embroidery, and sculptures representing elements of nature lead visitors from one treasure to the next. Mirrors on trees, light effects, and interactive installations like rotating “stars” invite participation, observation, and reflection. Along the way, visitors will encounter the legendary Zlatorog and nativity scenes set in a beautifully decorated pavilion.

The project emphasizes sustainability by using recycled and natural materials, including styrofoam, cellulose-based textiles, iron wire, and wood, underscoring the Cvetulka creators’ dedication to environmental care. The magical ambiance is enhanced by lighting that is modern yet harmoniously integrated into the natural surroundings.

Contributing artists: Špela Jensterle, Ana Krese, Teodora Simeonova, Larisa Bučar, Maša Odar, Nina Arh
Lighting design: Event Lighting

The installation will be on display from December 15 to January 7 and is open to everyone – families, young visitors, tourists, and art enthusiasts alike.
