On the occasion of the International Museum Day and the Fascination of Plants Day, we invite you to the unique setting of the Alpine Botanical Garden Juliana, where a day of guided tours, workshops, and experiences for all generations will take place.
10.00 – Bird observation and ringing
With Dare Fekonja from the Slovenian Bird Ringing Centre, operating within the Slovenian Museum of Natural History. Learn about the importance of bird ringing, the methods used to monitor their movement, and their role in nature conservation.
11.00–13.00 – Garden library and workshop “Write a postcard to Grandma”
Join Alenka Jamnik from the Special Library of the Slovenian Museum of Natural History. While browsing through natural science books, you’ll have the opportunity to write a postcard – a tribute to past generations and to nature.
At 11.00, 12.00 and 13.00 – Guided walks: Fascinating plants in Juliana
Guided tours with Špela Pungaršek from the Alpine Botanical Garden Juliana will take you through rare and interesting alpine plants. Discover their diversity, adaptations, and beauty in their natural environment.
Entrance fee: according to the garden’s regular price list
Participation in guided tours and workshops is free of charge.
