Lecture and workshop on climate change and biodiversity conservation in Triglav National Park

22. April, 18:00

On Earth Day, you are invited to a lecture and workshop on climate change and biodiversity conservation. The event will be led by Andrej Arih, a biologist and head of the Nature Conservation Department at the Triglav National Park Public Institution.

Are you curious about which animal and plant species might disappear from Triglav National Park due to climate change? What is happening with the temperature of Lake Bohinj? What can we, as individuals, do to help protect and limit these changes?

The event is organized as part of the Ensemble project. The project involves five municipalities from different EU countries. The lead partner is the town of Lago di Iseo (Italy), and the participating members are Manzanares el Real (Spain), Sankt Gilgen (Austria), Imatra (Finland), and Bohinj (Slovenia).

The overall aim of the project is to establish structured cooperation among European citizens to exchange best practices and discuss innovative ideas on how to value their lakes in social, cultural, environmental, and economic terms within the EU strategy for sustainable and inclusive growth.
