We kindly invite you to the Traditional Meeting of Mountaineers in commemoration of the First World War, organised by the Srednja vas Mountaineering Association in Bohinj and Turizem Bohinj. The event will take place on Planina na Kraju.

Programme:

On Friday, 22 September 2023, the event will include a gathering of mountaineers, a work action, and in the evening we will be entertained by a lecture by archaeologist Mija Ogrin, followed by a cultural programme and a social gathering.

On the following day, Saturday, 23.9.2023, you can join us for a tour of the archaeological sites and a hiking tour at 7.30 am and at 11.00 am for a holy mass in memory of the fallen soldiers, deceased mountaineers and shepherds.

You are invited to join us and together we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. The event will be an opportunity for socialising, cultural enrichment and discovering the rich history of our place.
