The Alpine Association Bohinjska Bistrica, the Alpine Association Srednja vas in Bohinj, and the Bohinj Alpine Section invite you to an engaging lecture about an unforgettable expedition to Muztagh Ata in China.
Muztagh Ata, or Muztagata (7546 m), is the second-highest mountain forming the northern edge of the Tibetan Plateau. It lies at the transition between the Eastern Pamirs and the Kunlun Mountains in the Xinjiang province of China.
In 1999, a ski-mountaineering expedition organized by AO Radovljica set out for this mighty peak. Among the team members were two Bohinj locals – Robert Klančar and Lojze Budkovič, who successfully reached its summit. During the lecture, they will share their experiences from the more-than-a-month-long journey and inspire with their story of achievement and perseverance.
Free entry.
