Hike to the Cow’s Ball event

During the Cow’s Ball event, Tourist Association Bohinj organises a hike to Cow’s Ball event, where you will hike from Ribčev Laz along the northern shore of Lake Bohinj to Ukanc. Along the way, you will learn about how Bohinj’s nature has changed over time, local stories and anecdotes, the history of cheese-making in Bohinj and the cultural heritage of the Bohinj mountains. At the event, you will be able to see a wide range of handicrafts, culinary and catering products, which have been awarded the Bohinjsko certificate.

12:30 parade of decorated herds of livestock and shepherds
lunch in a farmhouse kitchen
presentation of the Bohinj cow cika and prize for the most beautiful one
demonstration of modern preparation and use of firewood
fun and dancing to folk music
