By chance, Mišo Serajnik came across a Greek Catholic monk and iconographer who introduced him to the world of icons. Later, he took three seminars on iconography with another iconographer. Later, as he found this way of painting somewhat limiting, he furthered his knowledge at the Water colour academy – London and successfully completed it. He is currently taking a course in botanical drawing with polychrome crayons, taught by Caroline Ann Yvonne Bernik at the Bohinj House in Bohinjska Bistrica.

He has exhibited his work in Bohinj, Radovljica, Bled. His icons are in the possession of individuals in Bohinj, Bled, Hrušice near Jesenice, Javornik, Tolmin, Switzerland and the USA.
