You are invited to Kulturni dom Stara Fužina to see an exhibition about the making of the the multi-awarded animated film The Legend of Zlatorog.

Young filmmakers Lea Vučko (script, direction, animation) and Damir Grbanović (editing, production) have created a beautiful and successful, internationally award-winning animated film, The Legend of Zlatorog, which continues to reap laurels at festivals around the world.
In addition to the Vesna Award for Best Animated Film 2022, it received the DSAF Award, the Slovenian Animated Film Association Award for Best Art Design, an Honourable Mention from the Jury at the 17th Ljubljana Mountaineering Festival, The Best Animated Film Award at the Nepal Film Festival, and Special Jury Mention at SEEfest Los Angeles.

Currently, the short film is travelling to various film festivals around the world, which is often the only place to see short films. The exhibition is therefore a unique opportunity to present the film in a local setting that is closely linked to the film’s subject matter.

The exhibition presents the making of the short animated film, the background invisible to the audience – the entire storyboard, sketches, photographs from real locations in Trento taken during the planning of the film, the drawing technique… everything that happened during the four-year production of the 14-minute long film, made up of over 10,000 hand-drawn drawings in digital technique.

The exhibition and the film will be on show until the end of August 2023.
