The Istrian Malvasia Festival returns in 2026 for its 28th edition, once again bringing together winemakers, experts, and wine lovers to celebrate one of the most distinctive wine varieties of our region. The festival will kick off with culinary evenings across Slovenia under the name Malvazija Tour, with Bohinj also taking part in the event.

Gostilna pri Hrvatu is joining the Malvazija Tour with a selected themed menu, which will be available between March 4 and 9, 2026. During these days, guests will be able to taste different styles of Malvazija – from fresh and mineral to mature and structured – accompanied by carefully selected culinary delights.

The highlight of the festival will be on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Congress Center of Hotel Slovenija in Portorož, where 70 winemakers from Slovenian Istria, Brda, Kras, Vipava Valley, Croatian Istria, and Italy will present more than 150 samples of Malvazija. The festival also includes a professional symposium and workshops aimed at providing an in-depth understanding of the variety and its development.

The Malvazija Tour in Bohinj thus offers the opportunity to experience part of the festival atmosphere in an alpine setting – through taste, knowledge, and encounters.
