October - our most gastronomic month

October in Bohinj is a culinary feast, celebrating the abundance of autumn. It’s a time when nature brings its bounty and local produce and seasonal delicacies arrive on our plates. This is the time of year when many culinary events take place, such as the Cheese and Wine Festival and Restaurant Week, where you can enjoy a selection of local dishes. During the Autumn holidays, our restaurants offer special autumn-themed menus, a true tribute to autumn and Bohinj’s delicacies.

In Bohinj cuisine, nature dictates the rhythm and every season is reflected on the plate – in spring, floral flavours, in summer fresh vegetables from Bohinj farms, in autumn the richness of the Bohinj forests, and in winter, hearty home-cooked dishes to warm you up after a cold day. Each season brings new flavours waiting to be discovered and experienced.
