We will see how interesting any trip to nature can become when seen through the eyes of an ornithologist. The change in altitudinal zones means that we can expect a diverse range of species, with the high mountains probably being the most interesting. Rare species on the trail include the grouse, and on the Viševnik we will see the white-tailed ptarmigan, and among the common species we will see the grey and mountain warbler, the tree pipit, the hen harrier, and many others. The trip will be led by Tomaž Mihelič, conservation ornithologist from the Association for Birdwatching and Bird Studies of Slovenia.
