In this local custom, disguised boys called Otepovci visit all the houses in the five villages of the Upper Bohinj Valley (Srednja vas, Studor, Stara Fužina, Bohinjska Češnjica, Jereka), where they wish the locals a happy New Year and accept gifts (sausages, eggs, drinks, money) in return.
