PROGRAM OF TRADITIONAL EVENTS 2023
”Štala” on Mrcina Ranch
In the summer evenings, we organise a Štala at the Mrcina Ranch.
In a relaxed and authentic environment, we host top Slovenian mountaineers, travellers, excellent musicians and theatre performances. Traditionally, we have lectures by Arne Hodalič and Katja Bidovec, Renata Jozič and Matjaž Maček, and for at least 10 years we have had a “House Band”: Janez Dovč, Boštjan Gombač, Goran Krmac, Rudi Bučar, Metod Banko and guests.
We want to enjoy ourselves and have a “good time” in a unique atmosphere. Evenings at Mrcina Ranch are experiences of quality, excellence, difference, simplicity…
Evenings under the Linden Tree
Join us every Monday in July and August at 20.30 for the traditional Evenings under the Linden Tree in Srednja vas in Bohinj. The events combine singing, music and dance. Bohinj folklorists, choirs, the Bohinj Brass Band and many others will perform.
There will also be drinks and, of course, good home-cooked food.
Tuesday evenings in Stara Fužina
Concerts of local music and a showcase of local producers at the market in Stara Fužina.
You are invited to this year’s Tuesday Evenings, where every Tuesday in July and August from 16.00 hours a market with local culinary and handicraft products will take place.
From 20.00 on every Tuesday we will be entertained by various Slovenian bands.
A salute to Triglav
Every Friday in July and August, a short cultural and musical event will be held at the monument to the Four Brave Men in Ribčev Laz.
From 20.00 on The Bohinj singers and musicians will sing and play at the monument. The Bohinj Tourist Association will also provide a small banquet and aperitif. At the end of the event, there is a “salute to Triglav” with the song “Oj, Triglav, moj dom”, played on the trumpet by a local.
Saturday evenings in Stara Fužina
Every Saturday in July and August, culinary and craft vendors and brewers from all parts of Slovenia will present themselves in Stara Fužina on the renovated square in front of the cultural centre at 6 pm.
Saturday evenings will be enlivened after 20:00 with a selection of Slovenian and international pop songs.
Cinema under Triglav
The Stara Fužina – Studor Local Community, Turizem Bohinj and the Triglav National Park organize KINO POD TRIGLAVOM: free outdoor summer movie evenings in the village centre of Stara Fužina.
Film nights will take place on 5 Thursday evenings in July and August from 13. July until 10. August, each time at 21:00.
In case of rain, the film screenings will take place at the Kulturni dom Stara Fužina.
