Trout are farmed at the Zupan Fish Farm in the village of Nomenj, which is fed by a stream from below the Jazna River. The Zupan fish farm breeds small quantities of rainbow trout, goldfish, spearfish and lake trout, the most famous of which are the brook goldfish. This delicate species requires cold, clean water and its flesh is firm and delicate, allowing for a wide range of culinary creativity.
