Kotnik’s beehive is located next to his house in Bohinjska Češnjica. This is where the hard-working bees collect pollen in the surrounding Bohinj meadows during the honey harvest. Each pollen grain is a biological whole, containing everything necessary for life. Pollen grains are obtained by inserting perforated caps in the apiary. When entering the apiary, the worker bee can crawl through a narrow hole and lose the pollen it has collected.
