Ivanka Logar grows the “turšca” hard corn – an indigenous maize variety adapted to growing in mountainous areas. The grains, which range in colour from yellow to deep red, almost black, can be ground into flour and used to cook real Bohinj brandies, which are darker in colour and more noble in taste.
