Marija Žvan is a certified local and regional guide (guide card no. 007-18) in the Julian Alps. On the excursions she will lead you on, you will listen with curiosity to the unwritten stories of Bohinj, which are preserved only in the lives and creations of the locals. It embraces the knowledge of Bohinj people with a big spoon and is very happy to share it with you. A creative, curious and talkative lady, you will certainly not be bored around her.
Marija Žvan also enjoys making art with home-grown sheep’s wool. She skilfully spins knitting needles and knits a wide variety of products. It can also offer homemade bread, dried fruit, trdinka corn flour and free-range chicken eggs. If you take the time, she will teach you some old wisdom and reveal the little secrets of preparing Bohinj dishes.
